Offering a fixed, well-specified project at a fixed price, this model is often preferred by clients who are new to outsourcing and who do not expect to change specifications during the process. In working with such projects, Add-On Development carries the entire risk of unexpected complications.

ll our projects are headed by a Project Manager who is also the client’s point of contact. Should your specification not be completed to the extent required we can, of course, help with the finalization. If the specification itself is a large task it must be purchased separately.

We can offer fixed price projects at any level and size. Payment details are agreed upon before the project is commenced.

A T&M project is a dynamic process in which we work closely together with the client, who continually approves all major decisions. This allows the project to be adjusted on the basis of findings in the development phase.

This model is often used by clients who are familiar with outsourcing and who want a flexible development phase at the lowest possible cost. Billing is based on actual working hours. Based on estimates, intermediate payments are transferred one month in advance. The actual amount is calculated once the month has ended.

We staff experienced Project Managers around the world, both in our own offices and in third countries; and T&M projects can be carried out with or without attaching a Project Manager within Add-On Development. Hence, we offer clients the choice of deciding if they want to undertake the PM responsibilities themselves or also outsource these tasks to us.

In any case, we grant the client access to a series of software tools that support the PM function – which may include digital dashboards, access to the project area on our SharePoint server, and even access to different areas of our internal infrastructure (Team Foundation Server).

Due to its flexibility, the T&M model offers the cheapest way to complete a project in most cases.

The Dedicated Team approach is a hybrid between the Fixed Price and T&M methodologies described above. While on one hand including a fixed number of associated professionals, a fixed monthly rate and a fixed monthly hour count, this model is – on the other hand – T&M-wise in terms of duration, management and direction from the client.

The Dedicated Team model is often chosen by major companies who need assistance with long term projects of a considerable size. In such cases, the Team works closely together on the project with the company’s existing development function. Hence, the client provides project management, follow-up routines, reporting tools, methodologies, best practices for programming, etc., and possibly also such things as training and developer bonus schemes.

When deploying a dedicated team with Add-On Development, we as a minimum provide the developers, their physical work space, and basic tools – all at a highly competitive price. This leaves the client with the choice of either acquiring the respective further elements needed from Add-On Development or delivering these themselves.
