Formed on February 29, 2008, as a joint venture between VietSoftware International and Add-On Products (AOP), Add-On Development (AOD) was set up to specialize in the development of high-quality software based on Microsoft technologies. During the first year, the staff grew to 42 highly efficient, dedicated and creative professionals.

Initially, development of AOP software projects was transferred from other areas of the world to AOD in Hanoi. In doing so, our efforts were mainly focused on optimizing our hardware and software infrastructure and on developing efficient business routines. In this process, our certifications were obtained and best practices were established. We also developed our abilities in overcoming cultural barriers, which is a key to successful project completion across continents.

The Add-On Development organization presently consists of around 50 dedicated professionals and is rapidly growing. It is characterized by being flat, dynamic, flexible, and project oriented. While applying efficient processes, the newest technology and modern means of communication, only a few staff members are devoted to administrative duties.

The organizational architecture is continually altered to suit actual needs, predominantly by assigning the required dedicated resources to the respective projects. At present, development tasks are divided into four project groups each devoted to a major activity. Testing is performed by dedicated testers in the respective departments.

Product management, software application design, graphic design and IT operations is performed by a central Technology Department.

Add-On Development aims at designing, developing and producing software for the Microsoft platform that adds value to any enterprise, continually striving to achieve excellence in engineering and design.
